As chairman of the  Dutch Military Pipes & Drums I’m pleased to welcome you on our official website.  Let me start off with some background information and the goal of our band. The DMP&D was founded on the 21st of January 2006 in Ede, and all its members are either serving or retired military personnel from all divisions within the armed forces.

Our goal is to promote the pipes and drums music within the Dutch armed forces. And even though we are not  officially a military band, we solely perform for or on behalf of the Dutch armed forces. We apply the same rules and regulations as the professional bands, as set by the Dutch Ministry of Defence.  The specific character of our band and music have already proven their suitability with official military ceremonies such as memorials, changes of command, medal ceremonies, deployment of recruits and other (less) official occasions.

We stand for camaraderie, discipline, no nonsense and above all a good atmosphere within the band.
Over the past years we have achieved quite a lot and are still growing and developing in many ways. If you are interested in joining our band or want to know more about us, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
